Politician learns how others see his kind

State Treasurer Richard Moore went to Cherry Hospital, a state psychiatric hospital, this week to educate himself about mental health reform.

He also got a lesson about how people feel about politicians.

As Moore and his party entered a psychiatric ward, a patient in hospital scrubs welcomed the visitors, admiring their fine clothes.

Moore lays out proposal to cover uninsured children

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Richard Moore unveiled a $120 million plan Thursday to cover North Carolina's 250,000 uninsured children, seeking to take the lead on one of his expected primary opponent's strongest issues.
