Moore Releases Plan to Cut School Construction Costs

RALEIGH—State Treasurer Richard Moore today released a proposal to help counties reduce the cost of building schools.  In a letter to county commissioners, Moore outlined his idea for the North Carolina Future School Partnership, a non-profit corporation that would allow local governments to buy land in advance, start the permitting process earlier, and reduce construction costs.   (more)
